Commitment to AML/CTF compliance
Tradivanta Markets Ltd supports efforts to combat money laundering and terrorist financing. The company policy includes obtaining, verifying and maintaining identification records for clients opening accounts.
Suspicious activities related to money laundering are reported to the appropriate authorities where required.
Understanding money laundering
Money laundering involves disguising funds obtained through illegal activities, including fraud, corruption or terrorism, by integrating them into legitimate financial systems to obscure their true origin.
- Placement: illicit funds enter the financial system through deposits, asset purchases or financial instruments.
- Layering: funds are moved through multiple accounts or transactions to obscure their source.
- Integration: laundered funds re-enter the economy as seemingly legitimate assets.
Preventative measures
Tradivanta Markets Ltd strictly prohibits cash transactions and reserves the right to suspend client activity suspected of links to money laundering or other illicit actions.
The policy includes Know Your Customer and due diligence protocols to verify identities and monitor transactions.
Client verification
Before establishing a business relationship, clients must undergo identity verification. Clients from high-risk regions or those associated with insufficient AML standards may undergo additional review.
- Individual clients may be required to provide full name, date of birth, country of origin and residential address.
- Verification documents may include a valid passport, photo driver licence, national ID card and proof of address issued within the last three months.
- Documents in non-Latin characters require a notarised English translation.
- Corporate clients may be required to provide incorporation documents, constitutional documents, good standing or address proof, board resolutions, authorisations and identity verification for relevant directors, beneficial owners or account controllers.
Monitoring, records and enforcement
Client transactions are monitored to detect unusual or suspicious activity. Transactions that deviate from a client's typical activity may be flagged for further investigation.
Client identification and transaction/compliance records are retained for at least seven years following account closure, in line with the company AML/CTF policy.
- Automated and manual monitoring systems may be used.
- Suspected money laundering or criminal activity is reported to relevant authorities.
- The company reserves the right to suspend, freeze or terminate accounts where suspicious or questionable activity is detected or confirmed.
